I'm so proud and over the moon that I won Silver award for Best Female Presenter at the Community Radio Awards for the second year running. Such tough competition this year.
I've been so lucky to be able to keep presenting this year even although most of the live events have had to be canceled or postponed. There were some dark days, I'm not going to lie. When I was reading the headlines back in March about Covid-19 and lockdown it was really worrying as I didn't know what was happening and so many listeners were messaging in to ask if we would still be on air. Thankfully, thanks to the behind the scenes team at Marlow FM we were able to keep broadcasting safely and keep our community informed, many of them were self isolating and we were their only company so it was an important job.
I absolutely love what I do and hoping that I can get back to getting out and about more next year.
Well Done to my colleague at Marlow FM, Amelia Slaughter also won Silver for Best Entertainment Show for 'She Said What' and to Lucy Ashburner and Angie B who were both nominated for Under 25's and Newcomer respectively.
